I have not done one of these in a long, hot, minute.
Stress and pressure has been building up. I woke up sick after a night of nightmares.
Yesterday I was talking to a dear friend and spiritual sister. From the lens of the spiritual magical she talked about this need to go back to the basics. When she spoke those words I heard this song in my head. I love this song. It is one of my favorites to dance to at home and in the ride and one that brings me back to me. It made me giggle to hear it in my head during our conversation.

After waking up feeling so unwell I realized how very right my dear friend was. So now I go back to the basics, the basics that cover my physical, mental, and spiritual health and well being. These are so important to remember in hard or trying times and are among the first things we think of in moments of crisis.
So here’s my quick and dirty basics list:
Body – WATER, healthy food, good sleep, exercise/movement
Mind – Meditation, making better choices about media (the how, what, when, where, and why of what I choose to read/watch/listen to)
Spirit – Cleanse, shield, ground, offerings, sing, dance
